We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party tracking or advertising scripts. No cookies are set beyond what is strictly necessary for your session and local preferences (such as your chosen background image).
The only emails DBG will ever send you are transactional notifications — a short message to let you know when another user has sent you an internal DBG message. No newsletters, no promotions, no marketing of any kind.
You can opt out at any time via your profile settings. Opting out does not affect your ability to use the platform.
Google Sign-In (Google LLC)
We use Google OAuth for authentication. When you sign in, Google shares your name and email address with us. Google's own privacy policy applies to what Google does with your data during that process. See: policies.google.com/privacy
Lichess.org and Online-Go.com (bridges)
When you play via the Lichess or OGS bridge, your game activity takes place on those platforms under their own terms and privacy policies. DBG does not share personal data with these platforms. See: lichess.org/privacy and online-go.com/privacy.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. Passwords are never stored — authentication is handled entirely via Google. Game data and messages are stored in a secured database accessible only to the platform operator.
